Language And Regional Options | MAP Tech |

This feature of Control Panel allows changing default settings of Numbers, Currency, Date and Time as per currently selected region. For change the setting go to control panel => region & language => additional setting


Number Tab



This control tab allows changing the display of numbers in the computer. Here you can change Decimal symbol, number of decimal places, digits-grouping symbols, and number of digit in-group, appearance of negative values etc.

Currency Tab



Using this control tab you can set the Currency symbol, position of the currency symbols, appearance of negative values etc.

Time Tab



Time style, Time separator etc. can be changed using this control tab.

Date Tab



Here you can declare Date style and Date separator for Short date and Long date types. Also you can define a certain range of years that can be interpreted by the computer when you are using two digits for year.

Altering System Date and Time

The time that appears on the taskbar is based on the clock setting for our computer. To adjust the computer clock go to Start menu =>Control Panel => Date and Time. to change the System Date, set the month from the drop down list, enter or set the year and click on the correct date. To change the system Time, use the spinner that appears under the clock. Click OK.

Tip: To display the Dater/Time properties dialog box quickly, click the Time Icon on the right end of the taskbar.

Attributes Of Files And Folders |MAP Tech|

Windows 7 and 10 provides different file and folder attributes to change their access right. Mainly two types of attributes are there: [1] Read-Only, [2] Hidden Read-Only Shows whether the file or folder is read-only, if it is, the content of file/folder cannot be changed or accidentally deleted, right-click on any file or folder icon and select this check box to turn on the Read-only  attribute on, to prevent such abrupt happenings. Click to clear this check box to turn off the Read-only attribute. If  multiple files are selected, single check mark means that all the files are in read-only mode. You can select the multiple files/folders for activating the attribute "read-only" at once. Consequently each such files will be found having selected with the attribute individually.
